Protection and hygiene concept

for the Covid-19 pandemic of the Skischule Alpin (Status: 17.09.2020)

based on the concept of the German Ski Instructors Association DSLV

1. Principle:
Sport (winter sports) is firmly anchored in society as a whole. It gives support, motivation, perspective, confidence, emotions and many people in Germany a job. Sport helps people to cope with everyday life both mentally and physically, strengthens their defences and increases their own energy levels. Sporting activities in the great outdoors play a decisive role in this, as a stay in the fresh air is added to physical and mental exercise and has a positive effect on people. Sport and exercise in nature makes it easier to observe distance rules and reduces the risk of infection.

2. Objectives:
The Skischule Alpin wants to make sure that snow sports activities are possible in times of the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to guarantee this, we have defined certain conditions and rules, the implementation and observance of which will be controlled so that we can all practice this wonderful sport in nature with joy, pleasure and positive emotions.
Our goal is to prevent infections during snow sports courses through prudence, caution and clear guidelines. If an infection has occurred and been proven in our environment, it is our task to identify all contact persons in the shortest possible time so that they are informed accordingly.

3. Rules for the announcement of ski and snowboard of courses:
The customers are already informed about the hygiene and protection concept of the Skischule Alpin in connection with the offer on the homepage and the ski school flyer.
The general terms and conditions have been adapted accordingly, such as the obligation to adhere to valid distance and hygiene rules (AHA rule), possible consequences in case of non-compliance with the AHA rules, exclusion from participation in courses in case of existing infection or symptoms including then valid cancellation conditions, cancellation of courses or termination by the ski school, cancellation and withdrawal conditions (e.g. withdrawal by the customer in case of infection or symptoms), obligation on the part of the customer to inform the ski school immediately and truthfully.

4. Rules for the registration of ski and snowboard courses:
When customers register, online booking (booking form on the homepage or by email) is the main focus.
Every customer confirms in advance with his booking that he has read the general terms and conditions of the Skischule Alpin including the conditions of participation for the courses. Thus, he/she has the knowledge that he/she will only attend the course in a healthy physical condition, that he/she will not attend the course in case of Covid-19 symptoms or Covid-19 infection. The same applies to customers who arrive from the so-called "risk areas" according to the current list of the RKI, who have stayed in a risk area in the past 14 days or who have had contact with a demonstrably infected person. The postponement of a course in such cases is always possible.
The data provided when booking online is used for course preparation and also for tracing possible chains of infection.
In addition, each customer must confirm his or her current state of health with his or her signature on the first day of the course. People infected with Covid-19 or people with the symptoms of Covid-19 cannot participate in the course. For customers under the age of 18, this confirmation must be provided by their legal guardians.
Customers who arrive from the so-called "risk areas", according to the current list of the RKI, who have been in a risk area in the past 14 days or who have had contact with a Covid-19 infected person and who wish to participate in the course, must present a negative SARS-CoV-2 test as a prerequisite for participation. The testing must be carried out in accordance with the standards published by the Robert Koch Institute as regards timing. Without this proof of a negative test result, participation in the course is not possible for these customers.

5. Rules for the organization of ski and snowboard courses:
The SARS-CoV-2 industrial safety regulations, issued by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs for additional industrial safety measures for the protection against infections, will be optimally complied with in the Skischule Alpin according to our conditions.
The known distance rules of at least 1.5 m have to be observed in our snow sports courses. It is a little bit more difficult to keep the distances when taking care of and teaching children. From experience it is neither possible nor reasonable to demand the observance of distance rules, especially for children of kindergarten age. However, we will make sure that the ski instructor explains his "reserved" behavior to the children at the beginning and that he takes care to avoid direct close eye contact (face to face).
The hygiene rules such as regular hand hygiene with liquid soap for guests and employees as well as the regular cleaning and shock ventilation of premises and of all materials and equipment used with liquid soap and disinfectant must be applied. In our premises a plexiglass panel is installed at the counter and at the rental between customers and employees. The obligatory wearing of a mouth and nose protector applies to customers (including children from 6 years of age) and employees in the ski school office, in the shuttle bus, at the meeting point, in the lift facilities and on the way to the break during the ski or snowboard course.
We have adapted the organizational procedures in the ski school office in connection with the care of guests to our spatial conditions. This applies to the maximum number of persons who are allowed to stay in the office of our ski school at the same time (1 household + ski school staff), for the provision of disinfectants, for information boards and path markings/barriers, information on the procedure for personal course registration.
In order to be able to trace the chains of infection in the event of an incident of infection during ski rental, the address and telephone number of the customer are recorded in the rental contract. These data are kept in the ski school until the end of the current winter and then destroyed.
Our individual protective measures (transport rules, mouth and nose protection, distance rules, reservation, organization etc.) are coordinated with our ski area operator, the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn, and both our customers and our employees are made aware of the respective regulations.
We will practice customer and employee management in such a way that in the event of a proven infection, the relevant contact persons can be traced at any time and passed on to the responsible authorities.
In this context, we recommend our customers and employees to use the Corona-Warn-App of the German government.

6. Rules for the execution of ski and snowboard courses:
The meeting place offers sufficient space for all groups to meet with their teachers, observing the applicable distance rules. The greeting takes place without the usual shaking hands, i.e. contactless. Should children in particular need the help of the ski instructor (equipment, boots, bindings, etc.), please make sure that the ski instructor helps standing sideways so that close direct contact can be avoided.
At the meeting point, in the ski school office, in the lift facilities including when queuing and on the way to the break during the ski or snowboard course, the obligation to wear a mouth and nose protector applies. The different forms of organization in the lessons are selected in such a way that the applicable distance rules of at least 1.5 m must be observed (exception possibly for children).
Fewer guests per teacher (max. 8 participants) makes it easier to comply with the organizational rules and thus to protect our guests and instructors.
Breaks during the course will be organized in such a way that distance and hygiene rules are observed. The persons in charge and the ski instructors will control the observance of rules and should ask guests/customers and other snow sportsmen to observe the rules in case of disregard. Clients who permanently disobey the instructions of the instructors or the responsible persons can be excluded from further participation in the course.

7. Rules for the guests:
We inform our customers about the measures for their protection as well as the applicable distance and hygiene rules for the courses we offer.
We inform our customers about the obligatory wearing of a mouth and nose protector in the ski school office, at the meeting point, in the children's area, in the lifts and on the way to the break during the course. In the catering trade the respective rules of the respective company apply.
Every guest/customer must confirm his current state of health on the first day of the course with his signature. People infected with Covid-19 or people with the symptoms of Covid-19 cannot participate in the course. For guests/customers under 18 years of age, this confirmation must be signed by their legal guardian. These confirmations of all participants will be kept at the ski school until the end of the current winter and then destroyed.
Guests/customers arriving from the so-called "risk areas", according to the current list of the RKI, who have been in a risk area in the past 14 days or who have had contact with a Corona infected person and wish to participate in the course, must present a negative SARS-CoV-2 test as a prerequisite for participation. With regard to timing, the test must be performed in accordance with the standards published by the Robert Koch Institute. Without this proof of a negative test result, it is not possible for the guests to participate in the course.
We ask guests/customers to refrain from participating in après-ski events. We recommend our guests to use the Corona-App of the German Federal Government and to carry the smartphone with them during the course.

8. Rules for instructors:
The ski and snowboard instructors are already informed about the hygiene and protection concept of our ski school during the preparation for the winter season (e.g. obligatory wearing of a mouth and nose protector, contactless greeting of the guests, ...)
Each instructor must also check their current state of health on the first day of the course and confirm this with a signature. Teachers infected with Covid-19 or teachers who have the known symptoms of Covid-19 cannot take the course. These confirmations are kept in the ski school until the end of the current winter and then destroyed.
Teachers arriving from the so-called "risk areas", according to the current list of the RKI, who have been in a risk area in the past 14 days or who have had contact with a person infected with corona and wish to take part in the course, must present a negative SARS-Cov-2 test as a prerequisite for participation. With regard to timing, the test must be performed in accordance with the standards published by the Robert Koch Institute.
We recommend our teachers to use the Corona-Warn-App of the German government and to carry the smartphone with them during the course.
We urge our teachers to refrain from participating in après-ski events altogether.

9. Liability situation / coverage
We have adapted our General Terms and Conditions (GTC) to the participation requirements and implementation regulations applicable during the Covid 19 pandemic and will revise them as necessary. This concerns the rights and obligations of our guests/customers as well as the rights and obligations of the ski school. We will clarify and adjust our individual insurance situation with regard to corporate liability in the event of an outbreak of an infection within the scope of the course offer.
The confirmations of our guests/customers as well as our instructors about their current state of health are to be kept in order to be able to present them in case of an obligation to provide proof.

Our Team includes about 15 instructors.

All instructors are above 18 years of age.

All our instructors visit annual clinics to ensure they can teach you the newest techniques.
